I've been with this rail franchise for 7 years and from the moment I started, Career Progression was supported.
I started as a Welcome Host at Manchester and alongside that I did a Customer Service NVQ, I was supported, released from duty and supported with course work.
When I decided to go for Train Manager, my line manager was supportive, directed me as to what I should do to progress and advised on interview preparation.
There are so many roles available on the railway.
I am currently waiting to start a new role myself, I am progressing to the role of Resources Operations Controller in our Resources/Crewing department.
I am also waiting to hear about an Apprenticeship opportunity, that my line manager has fully supported me on and endorsed my application.
