Our First Rail Consultancy team, based in Paddington, London, has a number of specialist teams that range from commercial, customer experience, human resources, marketing, and programme and project management to bid writing, analysis, engineering, operations, and performance and planning.
First Rail Consultancy delivers specialist services across the public transport sector, particularly in the rail industry. We provide expert advice to our clients that covers every facet of a transport operator. Our clients include both internal FirstGroup operators and external companies.
First Rail Consultancy is part of First Rail, one of the most experienced rail owning groups in the UK, with more than 770,000 passenger journeys daily last year across our Department for Transport contracted operations and open access routes.
We operate two major UK train operating companies - Avanti West Coast (Avanti) and Great Western Railway (GWR), and two open access passenger rail services, Hull Trains and Lumo. We are also 'shadow operator' on the HS2 programme and operate the London Trams service on behalf of Transport for London.
