One of the great aspects of being part of the First Rail community are the shared values that are embedded into our everyday working. These core values have been adopted in all areas of the business and guide our working practices and ways of thinking. Our communal values are Committed to our customers; Dedicated to safety; Setting the highest standards; Supportive of each other; and Accountable for performance.
On an individual level I would look to how my colleagues' personal values contribute to these overarching core values:
Honestly and transparency is key to building genuine and trusted relationships with each other, our customers, and colleagues across the industry.
Passion for one's sector and individual specialism with a drive to develop skills and learn new ones.
The ability to treat those around us with respect and compassion, both in the office and when interacting with customers.
And Integrity and adaptability; we should be open to changing circumstances and new approaches, working to do the right thing for customers and colleagues.
The list of personal qualities and values is endless, the wonderful thing about working at First Customer Contact is the variety of people to collaborate with, all bringing different things to the workplace; all contributing to our overarching values.
