Position: Coachbuilder

Pay Rate: £20.50 per hour

Annual Salary (approx): £39,442

Working Hours: 37 hours per week - Mon-Fri dayshift, 6am or 7am start

Location: Scotstoun Depot - 1073 South Street G14 0AQ

Do you want to be part of our dedicated team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses across Glasgow? We’re looking for skilled and forward-thinking people to join our busy Engineering teams across our Glasgow depots.

We offer technical up-skilling and career progression, we'll also provide your PPE and basic tools you'll need to succeed in your role, as well as a competitive hourly rate and great rewards & benefits (see below).

Coachbuilder Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting accident bodywork repairs and diagnosing any faults

  • Performing collision and vandalism repairs, including windows, panel and fibreglass work

  • Interior repairs on seating and flooring and air operated door systems

  • Paint preparation and any minor bodywork paint repairs and touch ups

  • Addressing routine inspection findings and defect cards

  • Documenting repairs for third-party insurance claims

About You

  • Do you have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent, with proven coach building experience?

  • Do you have welding experience?

  • Have you working experience in vehicle accident repair and painting, preferably for PSV/HGV vehicles?

  • Full driving licence is preferred, a PCV licence isn't essential, we can support you in gaining it
