About the job:
As a Ticket Barrier Assistant working on the Ticket Barrier at the station, you will work within a small team whilst on shift. Our Ticket Barrier Assistants are the first person and the last that our customers meet in what can be a very busy environment. This role is also responsible for collecting revenue from customers travelling without tickets. The work is sometimes challenging, but it can be a very rewarding job.

About the location
The role is based at Plymouth Station, and a short walk from Plymouth town centre. It is essential that you have your own transport as the times of shifts are often before or after public transport is available.
Working pattern
This role involves working shifts including weekends and bank holidays.

Additional information
Applicants will be invited to undertake an online test once they have submitted their application. Applicants successfully short listed will be invited to undertake an interview. The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for this role, including a drugs and alcohol screen, as well as obtain a Basic DBS Certificate.
Full training is provided at our Training Centre in Swindon which lasts up to three weeks. A travel pass and hotel accommodation are provided.
