About the Role - Coachbuilder

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Coachbuilder to join our busy mechanical engineering team in Glasgow Caledonia on a nightshift basis. 

For helping keep our fleet on the road, you'll earn a good salary and great benefits (see below). We'll also provide your overalls and the basic tools and equipment needed for you to be successful in your role.

This could be a great opportunity for you to widen your skill base in body work repair, work on a larger scale vehicle and also work on our state of the art electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting accident bodywork repairs and diagnosing any faults

  • Performing collision and vandalism repairs, including windows, panel and fibreglass work

  • Interior repairs on seating and flooring and air operated door systems

  • Paint preparation and any minor bodywork paint repairs and touch ups

  • Addressing routine inspection findings and defect cards

  • Documenting repairs for third-party insurance claims

Details:

  • Location: Glasgow Caledonia, 100 Cathcart Road, G42 7BH

  • Working Hours: 38 hours per week - nightshift 19:00-06:00 - 4 on 4 off

  • Pay Rate: £22.91 per hour

About You

  • Do you have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent, with proven coach building experience?

  • Do you have welding experience?

  • Have you working experience in vehicle accident repair and painting, preferably for PSV/HGV vehicles?

  • Full driving licence is preferred, a PCV licence isn't essential, we can support you in gaining it
