About the job
In the Performance team, you will be looking at performance data and analysing where and how we can improve our train performance, putting into practice the knowledge, skills and behaviours that underpin your apprenticeship learning experience to complement your daily job. This role assists in providing the Performance team with support and enhanced resource in the compilation and documentation of efficient and effective performance data to assist in driving improvement.
The role of the Performance team is to ensure that colleagues across the business are able to receive performance information relevant to them, enabling them to make appropriate decisions to drive performance improvement. This includes working with teams across the business to analyse performance, using available data to understand what's happening and why. They are also responsible for ensuring that relevant delays and data are captured and logged correctly in performance systems.

South Western Railways HQ is based on the 4th Floor at South Bank Central, a stone's throw from the River Thames and a 10 minute walk from our busiest station, Waterloo. It is local to many well-known attractions, restaurants and retail facilities and is easily accessible by public transport.

The programme aims at developing skilled data analysts and you will be fully supported and mentored through your apprenticeship and be given protected time to complete your course work. You will be supported monthly by your business coach, have quarterly reviews involving your manager & attend 18 days of facilitated training to ensure you are fully equipped to start your career as a Data Technician
