About the Role - PSV/HGV Mechanic

Do you want to be part of our dedicated team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses across Worcester? We’re looking for skilled and forward-thinking people to join our busy Engineering team.

We are looking for NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified Engineers – preferably in heavy vehicle or PSV mechanical maintenance, however we also welcome applications from ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable
Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
Location: Worcester, Padmore Street, WR1 2PA
Hours: 39 per week on a rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts 5 over 7 days - weekend premium rate for any weekend working
Pay Rates: £18.76 per hour + £3000 NEW RECRUIT JOINING BONUS!!!*
*Joining Bonus - terms apply Available to new team members joining us for the first time or returning to us after more than 12 months
About You
Do you have a minimum of Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics?
Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
Must have a valid UK driver's licence and the ability to obtain a PCV license (we will help you achieve this)
Experience of working with buses, coaches or HGVs would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered
