Safety Manager - West

About the job?
In this role you will be responsible for providing independent occupational safety advice and guidance to all functions within GWR.
You will assist other functions with the practical application of safety legislation and industry standards, as well as managing the review of change proposals to mitigate safety risk, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and GWR's Integrated Management System.
In this role you will work collaboratively with the safety team, undertaking audits where required as well as assisting with the implementation, development and improvement to the company's Integrated Management System, reducing potential risk exposure.

About the location:
This role will be field based, looking after the West region of our network, including Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and South Wales.
Working Pattern:
This is a full time, permanent role working 37 hours per week.
