Position: Stores Assistant

Location: Norwich, Roundtree Way

Contract: 39 hours per week, permanent position

Working Hours: 7:30am-4pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-3:30pm Fri

Salary: £30753.81 per annum

About the Role

 

As a Stores Assistant at First Bus, you'll play a key part in supporting our engineering teams to help keep things running smoothly for our depots our customers. You'll manage all incoming and outgoing materials in the Engineering Stores department, in an organised and efficient manner, providing a key role within the overall team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You'll be responsible for ensuring that vehicle parts and fuel are available to meet the depot's operational needs

  • You'll stay informed of any changes to the fleet and adjust stock levels accordingly

  • Follow procedures for bulk fuel deliveries and accurately reconciling fuel stocks

  • Ensure stores areas are kept clean and tidy, and stock is stored in a secure, safe, and efficient manner

  • Support the Area Stores Manager to monitor and manage stock usage, liaising with close by depots

  • Maintain relevant business IT systems to accurately records all aspects of stock management

 

 

About You

  • A clean UK driving licence would be beneficial for this role as you may be required to travel between our Norwich and Kings Lynn depots once per week (travel costs will be reimbursed)

  • Commercial vehicle parts advisory and/or stock management experience would be beneficial for this role however we do provide extensive training

  • IT literate with a strong attention to detail

  • Availability for overnight travel to role specific training courses
