Join Our Team as a Train Dispatcher and Ticket Seller!!

Are you customer-focused and looking for a dynamic role in the railway industry? As a Train Dispatcher and Ticket Seller, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth station operations, from train dispatch and ticket sales to providing real-time travel information and maintaining a safe, clean environment. This role involves regular lone working, offering autonomy and responsibility.

What We're Looking For?

  • Passion for customer service and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident decision-making and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle numerical tasks and documentation

Shift-based role?

Includes weekends and bank holidays (Earliest start: 05:30 | Latest finish: 00:45). Shifts will vary by station.  Due to the nature of the shifts work involved in these roles, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Working at Stations within the Wiltshire & Dorset area these include  

  • Bradford on Avon 
  • Trowbridge 
  • Westbury 
  • Frome 
  • Castle Cary 
  • Warminster 
  • Yeovil Pen Mill 

What to Expect?

  • After submitting your application, you'll complete an online assessment (recommended on a laptop/computer).
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment – Train Dispatch Multi-Tasking Test (recommended on a laptop/computer). 
  • If successful you will be invited for a competency-based interview.
  • Successful applicants will need to pass a medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol screening, as well as a Basic DBS check.
  • Full training will be provided, including a 3-week training programme in Swindon.
