About the Role: Vehicle Technician/Inspector

Do you want to be part of our energetic team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses? If yes, then this Skilled Engineer position could just be the job for you!

This will be a multiskilled role covering all technician duties and also undertaking vehicle inspections on a daily basis (full training will be provided if you are not experienced in vehicle inspection).

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement

• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used

• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

• To fully comply with all HSE legislation along with Group Policies

• To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures

• Maintain and develop technical skills as required

• Providing detailed inspection reports and advice on necessary vehicle repairs

• Performing thorough inspections within company processes

Details:

• Location: Weston-Super-Mare

• Working Hours: 39 hours per week, 5 days over 7 on a rotating shift pattern of early and lates 

• Salary: £20.92 per hour + weekend premium if you work any shifts over a weekend + £3,000 new recruit Joining Bonus!*

About You:

• Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds Level 1&2)? Preferably in PSV or HGV engineering however we can consider candidates from a broader automotive background with a solid skill set

• Do you have the ability to multi-skill within an engineering environment?

• A valid UK driving license would be beneficial

• A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential

• Do you have Right to Work in the UK?
