As a permanent night employee, my duty entails delivering train care services in accordance with the standards established by GWR. I commence my night shift by reading handover from the day shift which enable me to devise an efficient planning of the night ahead, thereby ensuring optimal business productivity. This is followed by a daily briefing, which allows me to prioritise my tasks according to their level of importance. For example, before completing other tasks, I prioritise completing tasks that have been addressed by customers to ensure a timely response. Finally, I ensure that I document any arising issues or concerns and hand over to my day shift colleague prior to concluding my shift.
