I support an autistic young man whose dream is to work on the railways. Despite numerous applications for appropriate jobs, he isn't getting any replies. How can I actually speak to someone about accessibility and equality?

    Hi Rachel,

    Thanks for reaching out.

You can find out about Diversity and Inclusion within FirstGroup here and also on the ED&I page of our careers site.

With regards to individual applications, I would recommend visiting our FAQs page where you can find the recruitment email addresses for each of our companies under the 'Contact us' section. Once an application has been submitted, I would suggest reaching out to the respective team to discuss any specific accessibility needs.

As a Group, we do get back to every candidate regardless of the outcome of their application, so if the individual you support hasn't yet received an update, it likely means their application is still under consideration. However, if it's been a considerable amount of time since they applied, I would suggest also raising this with any email you send.
