Hi, I’m a London Bus Driver with 6 years experience in the bus Industry. I’m very keen to join the railway industry as Trainee Driver and become fully qualified. Would my experience providing good customer service and operating a bus help me succeed as a Train Driver and what training is required?

Apologies for the delayed response. That experience you hold as a Bus Driver could certainly be of help if you were to become a train driver, although operating a train is very different to that of a bus.
There are no qualifications required so it would simply be a case of applying for a Trainee Train Driver position and, should you be successful through each of the recruitment stages, you would then be made an offer of employment and placed on a training course.
