One lesson I've learned this year is to be curious and always ask questions. I find in a legal role particularly, the more you know about the business and the industry, the better and more helpful your advice is going to be. As a lawyer, it is important to always keep in mind the key commercial drivers and values of the business and the function you are supporting/advising - the first step to this is of course finding out what these are!
I also like to ask questions regarding my work and keen to learn new things
