Hi there.
This normally depends on the number of positions that are available. If it is only a few then it isn't uncommon for a trainee driver role to only be advertised internally, however for larger recruitment campaigns the roles would be advertised externally too. Internal applications may still be progressed first, but when it comes to assessing candidates, all are assessed to the same standard, regardless of if they are an existing employee or not.
