Work experience is possible, but it's typically only offered on an ad hoc basis. When opportunities do arise, they are arranged directly between the student/parent and their local station or depot.

Therefore, your best bet is to visit your local station/depot and speak to its manager. You can normally just approach any available member of staff and advise that you're wishing to speak to the station/depot manager to discuss work experience opportunities, and they will be able to help you.
